Team 4 Engineering is a consulting, land development engineering and surveying firm seeking a new team member with experience in design of residential and commercial development. This is an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join our team of outstanding professionals.

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to fill one of several vacant roles from entry level candidates right out of school to senior civil engineers with extensive land development design experience. The job title and pay will be determined depending on experience.

Entry Level Candidates:

The selected candidate will be responsible for and supervisor of:

  • Preparation of site/civil design plans including site layouts, roadway plans and profiles, storm water drainage and management plans, sediment and erosion control plans, water and sanitary sewer plans, and grading plans.
  • Design and assemblage of engineering construction documents for permit review and bidding.
  • Preparation of associated calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
  • Coordination with clients, consulting teams, review agencies, and in-house staff.
  • Collaboration with design teams in all aspects of a given project.

Senior Civil Engineer Candidates:

  • Are the central design and engineering figure for a team responsible for the preparation of site/civil design plans including site layouts, roadway plans and profiles, storm water drainage and management plans, sediment and erosion control plans, water and sanitary sewer plans, and grading plans.
  • Respond to and understand agency processing requirements and client expectations and provide quality services by performing complex design tasks and solving major design problems.
  • Ensure quality of design and implement new ideas through supervision, delegation, participation in plan review and training of junior staff.
  • Be a leader in client/agency interaction, endeavor to build lasting relationships and respect with fellow employee-owners and clients and attend meetings and conference calls as appropriate.
  • Coordination with clients, consulting teams, review agencies and in-house staff, as well as collaboration with design teams in all aspects of a given project.
  • Design and assemble engineering construction documents for permit review and bidding, and prepare associated calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
  • Have a combination of a bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline from a four-year college or university and civil engineering design experience totaling six years with an PE certification.
  • Have spent a minimum of two years independently solving complex engineering problems within land development with proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D software

Salary: Depends on Experience

Salary Range: $70,000 to $130,000 (Depending on Experience)

Requirements:

Entry Level Candidates:

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) (preferred).
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience (preferred).
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency (preferred).
  • WWHM and local jurisdiction(s) proficiency (preferred).
  • Kitsap County experience (desirable).
  • Low Impact Development (LID) design experience (desirable).
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (required).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (required).
  • Ability to work in a team environment (required).

A highly qualified candidate will have the following:

  • Washington State licensed Professional Engineer (PE) (required).
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field with 10 years of experience (preferred).
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency (preferred).
  • WWHM and local jurisdiction(s) proficiency (preferred).
  • Kitsap County experience (preferred).
  • Low Impact Development (LID) design experience (preferred).
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (required).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (required).
  • Ability to work in a team environment (required).
